NORA PLENG TAP PLENG TONE DANCE 
(เพลงทับ เพลงโทน โนรา)

               The performing of a high performing art is another kind of Nora dancing. Elderly Nora dancers have composed the lyrics and designed the performing, which is passed from generation to generation. In the old days, the main idea of Nora lyrics was about appreciating the surrounding nature, wild animals, mountains and rivers. At the present time, the lyrics have changed to focus more on local people’s way of life and society. An example of the Nora lyrics in the old days is as follows:

“ The wind blows slightly while the swans fly in the sky. All the birds landed at a beautiful pond. There are lotuses in the pond. It is a scenic landscape.”
